INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION STATUS REPORT: SS05-055
Expedition 12 Commander Bill McArthur and Flight Engineer Valery Tokarev are spending their first few days alone on the station following Monday's safe return of their predecessors.
Engineers are moving closer to resolving the problem of large foam insulation falling off space shuttle external fuel tanks during launch. A "tiger team" is making recommendations addressing the factors that may have contributed to foam loss when the space shuttle Discovery (STS-114) was launched in July.

The most recent spacecraft telemetry was acquired Wednesday, September 21,
from the Goldstone tracking stations. The Cassini spacecraft is in an
excellent state of health and is operating normally. Information on the
