The six American crew members of the next shuttle mission (STS-121)
meet with the media at 9:30 a.m. EST, Friday; not 8 a.m. EST, as
originally announced, at the Kennedy Space Center Press Site, Fla.
This month, NASA's Mars Exploration Rovers mark two years on the red planet.
Spirit and Opportunity continue to find new variations of bedrock in areas they are exploring on
opposite sides of Mars. JPL designed, built and manage the rovers.
The most recent spacecraft telemetry was acquired Wednesday, January 18,
from the Goldstone tracking stations. The Cassini spacecraft is in an
excellent state of health and is operating normally. Information on the
present position and speed of the Cassini spacecraft may be found on the

NASA's Stardust mission is heading home to deliver pristine samples of comet material. The spacecraft's return capsule, which will make the fastest reentry of any human-made object on record, will land Sunday, Jan. 15, at approximately 2:12 a.m. Pacific time on the Utah Test and Training Range.
